Lee Remains, so Does The Hope For a Trade

With Brian Lee remaining on the ice at the bank, it is believed he has been waived in order to facilitate an impending trade.
Expect an announcement soon after 12:00, should he clear, and be demoted or traded.
He remains un-claimed as of this time (11:55 a.m.).
Leading bets have him going to a team wanting defensive depth, not an NHL ready starter.
I would expect a 4th or 5th in return, from a team hoping to go deep in the post season.

  1. Trade not happening I’m afraid. Other teams don’t want the Sens under performing players. I’m sure they would take our good D prospects.. but that had better not happen.

  2. Still may happen, waiving him was an important first step to a trade if the aquiring team wants him in the minors to start.
Why trade for him only to lose him to waivers?
The Sens have 30 days to either assign him to the A or re-waive him.
So basically the Sens have 30 days to try to move him without facing re-call waivers.
