Sens Win…So What?

Yes it was a gutsy performance by the Sens.

Yes Elliott was brilliant in earning the shut-out in his 100th NHL game.

Yes the win against a solid division opponent is critical.

But, in the face of the tragedy that struck the Senators family, it could mean so little.

But it was all the family could do in the face of this tragedy, to pull together and show you care.

They couldn’t be there for Luke and his family in body, but they showed up in spirit for 60 minutes in Boston.

They dominated.

“To a man, they thought it was the right thing to do, to go out and play this game to honour the family and (they did that) with the effort,” said Murray. “The players are obviously very upset and very emotional.”

I can’t imagine.

My deepest and most sincere condolences to the Richardson family.

Yes, it will get better, but, it will never be the same, and for that I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Rest in peace Daron, and may your passing ease the suffering of another, due to your life saving donations.

  1. Truly sad ..
There is nothing that one can say to console this family. Her memory will be forever with them as they seek peace from this tragedy.

  2. This is indeed very sad. She had her whole life ahead of her. She was so young.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Richardson family.
